The First Consultation

During your initial consultation, our dentist will conduct a thorough dental exam. The purpose of this exam is to review the status of your current oral health and resolve any possible dental problems prior to the treatment. Once an examination has been conducted, our dentist will take impressions of your teeth, which will be used to make your Invisalign aligners. These aligners are then given to you with instructions on how to use and take care of them properly.

Invisalign Aligners Are Virtually Invisible

The reason many of our patients opt for Invisalign is due to its transparency. The aligners consist of medical grade plastic components, allowing Invisalign to be discreet. Although they are transparent, they will still be slightly noticeable up close.

Invisalign Aligners Are Detachable

Invisalign aligners are the only alternative to traditional braces that can be removed at your convenience. Although our dentist will recommend wearing them as much as possible throughout your treatment, it is nice to have the option to remove them for special events or to eat and drink.

The duration of your Invisalign treatment depends on the severity of your case. The average timeframe needed is between 12 and 15 months.

Easier Maintenance Than Metal Braces

Unlike traditional metal braces, Invisalign aligners are easy to clean. Our dentist will suggest cleaning them every time you remove them and before reinserting them. To clean them, you can simply run them under warm water.

A fundamental reason why patients choose Invisalign is that it’s made from BPA-free plastic, which doesn't contain any plasticizers or other dangerous toxins that can be released into your mouth.

Once you have completed your Invisalign treatment, our dentist will suggest wearing a retainer. The purpose of the retainer is to prevent your teeth from shifting into the position they were in prior to the treatment. Our dentist will discuss the time needed for you to wear retainers as this aspect can vary from patient to patient.

Invisalign aligners are a great alternative that can provide you with a confident, straight smile.
